DEAR ALL
I HAVE A FORM PLAYING SOUND WHEN IT'S OPENED
AND WHEN I CALL ANOTHER FORM WITH SOUND ERROR
"FRM-47201: Cannot play sound" -Unable to play the sound in the requested sound item. The sound output device may be busy. -
SO I WONDER IF THERE IS ANY WAY TO STOP THE SOUND IN THE FIRST FORM WHEN ANY ACTION HAPPENED

Please turn off Caps-lock.

Find out what is generating the sound. If you can find what starts it, it should not be very difficult to stop it.

I'll try to be more clear
the main form play sound for 60 second ok!
in this time (in the second 35 )maybe another form will be caled automatically -when some action happened -and it contain a sound also (lighnth 3 second)
so that error i told you about will be raise
so i need a code to stop the first sound
i tried
stop_play_sound
stop_sound
did not work
i search every where

hope i made myself clear

What is it exactly that plays the sound in the first form? Is it started in the When-New-Form-Instance trigger?
Find out _what_ plays the sound. Find out how it is started, and you will know how to stop it. You then can stop it prior to calling the other form.

yeas an both forms the sound play by
When-New-Form-Instance
and even the second form called by the main form
so my plane is
if that action (to call the second form ) stop the sound of the first form
and then call the second form
so i need the coad
how to stop a sound automatically if any action happened

"By the way i solve it just for now
i chick the action first before i play the sound in the main form
but i don't like that hope to find out the code of stop the sound
cause i need that in many forms "

Stop pressing the 'enter key' at the end of each line - the editor will wrap the words for you!! Just press it when you want a new paragraph!!

I think that you are out of luck. I can only see read_sound, write_sound, and play_sound it the reference manual.

Dear Experts....

i want to play sound (counting 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) but when i play more than one sound clips than it play just last one not play first clips.. please help me in this regards....

please tell me how to solve you your problem.... i also faced the problem similar your problem.... i want to play counting which is entered in item box. e.g: "9876592" but when i play these numbers, just last one will be played not firstly "987659" played, but when i show the message inside the loop then it play all clips. and if i remove the message command from loop then it can't play complete numbers just play the last one.. please help me in this regards....
