I don't use 11g, but - if it kept 10g locations, then TNSNAMES.ORA should reside in \network\admin directory, while FORMSWEB.CFG is in \forms??\server. If these locations are wrong, I hope that someone on 11g will provide a correct answer.

Hi,

in 11g App Server, the TNSNAMES is in a new folder. The TNSNAMES should be in folder like this: E:\Oracle\Middleware\asinst_11g\config
The formsweb.cfg is located here: E:\Middleware\user_projects\domains\ClassicDomain\config\fmwconfig\servers\WLS_FORMS\applications\formsapp_11.1.2\config

hope it help.

I guess Littlefoot is not referring to Application server. So he referred to usual tnsnames.ora for the database server which resides in location like drive:\ORACLE\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\NETWORK\ADMIN.

Littlefoot - Sir, please correct me if my guess is wrong!

No, he is correct. The mid tier directories in my 10g app server are /opt/app/oracle/product/10.2.0gas/10gmid/network/admin for the tnsnames file and /opt/app/oracle/product/10.2.0gas/10gmid/forms/server for the formsweb.cfg file.

There is also a tnsnames file in the infrastructure directory structure.
