hello sir

we are using oracle application server.

i want to delete or overwrite .FMX file

waiting for users to logout or finding
out which user is logged in..is too time
consuming.

Thanks for your kind help in advance.

I don't know what the question is, but in a unix environment, you can delete or overwrite .fmx files even when they are in use.

i am on windows dear...users are connecting to server
and accessing forms ie. .FMX files.
but when i update any form, compile it and try
to place it on the server..its says FILE IN USE.

so i want to avoid that message.

even if the users are using that particular .FMX
i must be able to paste the updated .FMX.

thanks.

Actually, that *might* be possible (didn't try it myself, just read about it) by setting FORMS_MMAP = FALSE in DEFAULT.ENV file. Have a look at this OTN forum discussion; there are references to Metalink documents. Everyone says that setting that parameter is not recommended. Anyway, read it yourself.
