Hi,
When i run the command:
select comp_name,version,status from dba_registry;
some of the items show the status as INVALID.(Oracle database packages and types, oracle rules manager, oracle workspace manager, oracle expression filter, oracle multimedia)

What is the reason for this and how can i set them to VALID.
Thanks.

1/
No need to attach an image to post text, just copy and paste it inline
Before, Please read OraFAQ Forum Guide and How to use [code] tags and make your code easier to read.
Make sure that lines of code do not exceed 80 characters when you format.
Indent the code, use code tags and align the columns in result.
Use the "Preview Message" or "Preview Quick Reply" button to verify.

2/
Use "Col" statement to format the columns.
Use "Set pagesize 1000" to prevent from useless repeated headers

3/
Use WHERE clause to limit the output to the useful lines and don't pollute the post with useless information

4/
Do you use the INVALID components (but the last one)?
If not then deinstall them. You'll find the script in %ORACLE_HOME%\rdbsm\admin and the details on MOS.
If yes the deinstall and reinstall them.

5/
In the end, use utlrp.sql to recompile the invalid packages (last line).

Regards
Michel
