hello,
I am using Oracle forms 6i.
i want to create an application that does not require any connection with Oracle database.
My Application fetch all its data from an Excel file.
I do not want Login with Database,so i want to byapass it.
How can i do it..

You can't. Forms require database connection in order to run. If you don't want to do that, switch to some other tool that does not require it.

However: saying that form fetches data from an Excel file: what do you do with these data, then? What's the purpose in fetching data and doing "nothing" (as far as Oracle database is concerned) with them? Why don't you, then, open that Excel file and enjoy it without Oracle involvement?

Actually i want to create a price calculator for my company,which fetches price and discount detail from Excel file and perform some calculation.We don,t want to store it.To avoid so many printings of that Excel file and check prices and discount every time is a tedious work.

I believe that Excel is perfectly capable of performing price calculations.

Yes sir i am agree with u.
But i have so many excel files too.
So it is not a gud way 2 check price and discount detail for each and every diamond.

IF you want to use forms then you should store the data in a database. If you do that then you can get rid of all the excel files.
If you really just want a price calculator then you're going to have to write one in some other language - C or Java or something.
