I want to update user_Indexes table but says the below error my user is DBA still i got this error
update user_INDEXES set dropped ='YES' Where table_Name ='FOOD_SERVICES'
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01031: insufficient privileges

You don't and can't update a catalog view.

What do you ACTUALLY want? Why do you want to update the dictionary and not use DROP INDEX?

Because there are more then 100 indexes which i have drop and then again run the script to to create it. I want to unusable them and then rebuild them again

ALTER INDEX ... UNUSABLE;
