Hi

I have ignited and cloned a test server from another Oracle DB server, and restored from a backup.

The DB and listener start, but I cannot get dbconsole started. The server has very limited n/w connectivity.

The error I am getting is:

oracle@server1 at /mnt/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1/bin =>./emctl start dbconsole
Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g Database Control Release 11.2.0.1.0

Starting Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g Database Control ............................................................................................. failed.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Logs are generated in directory /mnt/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1/server1_tirtest/sysman/log
oracle@server1 at /mnt/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1/bin

I have changed the hostname where possible.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Tariq

I had to take out the line containg the URL from the output above.

It didn't allow me to insert links into the body of the text.

EM won't start after change to hostname or IP#.
EM must be removed & then re-installed.
