I have tried installing Oracle Database 11g R2 numerous times but it always finish with database configuration assistant warning.

Error starting database control,Please execute following command(s).

1) Set the environment variable ORACLE_UNQNAME to database unique name.

2) E:\app\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\bin\emctl.bat
Start dbconsole

i have already set the environment variable of ORACLE_HOSTNAME AND ORACLE_UNQNAME .
and installed lopback adapter

Hi,

As per me it is just a warning message try to start enterprice console in command prompt as
set oracle_sid=sidname
emctl start dbconsole

Did you notice that you just revived a thread that has been dormant for well over 3 years?

It is simple. Your database has been created. It simply had a problem creating the dbcontrol. This is actually a fairly well-known problem that Oracle never seems to address. It has to do with timing of when the newly-created db gets itself registered with the listener, and when the dboconrol config needs to connect to the db via the listener. The solution is to ignore this error (this time) and simply fire up DBCA again and select to 'configure (not create) a database. Take it from there.

And in the future, save yourself the headache by simply DE-selecting to create dbcontrol when you are creating a database. Save that for after creation of the database, like I just described above.
