One of my physical stdby DB's have been offline for a while due to some disk issues,l which were rectified.

I don't have all the .arc files dating back from when the stdby went off line.

Is there an RMAN command/script I can use to re-instantiate the stby DB?

Any examples, would be greatly appreciated.

I've never done it, but you can use BACKUP INCREMENTAL FROM SCN.... to extract all the blocks changed since the SCN of your standby, and recover it. Probably qucker to follow the BlackSwan's advice.
