currently I have a Text field for Call_Creation which timestamps the date/time as soon as a newcall/record is about to be entered.

defaultvalue=to_char(sysdate, 'DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI:SS')
Condition type: Not conditional
Read only condition type: Always

this saves perfectly... however when I re open the call to edit changes etc, the timestamp overwrites to the current date...

How can this be modified so it only timestamps on creation of record/call..... and is only read only after that?
