How to setup the database for automated RMAN backup. like if we want to have a backup exactly at 8:00 PM IST. So how to configure it.Please ignore my skills in Oracle as im a new guy in this.

Why don't use "cron" or Windows scheduler to trigger your backup job?

Can i use coran utility used to schedule shell script file of Linux, If i have created RMAN Script and want to run on a daily basis.

And if you have configured the db console you can also do it via this GUI.
