Dear All,

I have installed 11g R2 on windows 7 32bit then I unistall it through deinstall but now again i am installing it it says

Cause - The chosen installation conflicted with software already installed in the given Oracle home.

Action - Install into a different Oracle home.

How can I remove that Oracle Home.

Regards,

Glmjoy

Open the registry, go to HKLM\Software\Oracle and remove the previous home key.

Also, check whether a directory ("Oracle Home") into which you previously installed Oracle 11g still exists (you'd do that in Windows Explorer). If it exists, delete it.

Thanks you all people for your valuable help but I have already removed that from registry HKLM\Software\Oracle\OraDB11g_home1 because I already have 6i installed in that in different home in registry. But still when i went for installation it says your Db Home1 already exsist.

So your installation is screwed and you didn't tell us all the truth.
Did your first installation correctly run?
Did your uninstallation correctly run?

No, I meant 11gR2.

In the end, why do you care about Oracle home? Change it, don't bother, it is needless to waste time about that.

Michel
