Dear All

We need to generate barcode through oracle forms and print the barcode using Zebra Printer.

Can you please tell us how to generate the barcode using oracle forms and which software we should use to generate the barcode as well as how can we print the barcode label with customize information on label with barcode.

Thanks and regards

We discussed barcode issues before; these are some of discussions. Read what's being said. If you still have doubts, say so.

I suppose it would, but I don't have any tutorial (step by step) which means I'd have to write one for you (and that, most probably, won't happen).

Shortly:
  • install a barcode font (such as IDAutomation ones)
  • create a report. Barcode information should use a barcode font you installed previously
  • certain barcodes require additional settings (such as asterisk in front and behind the value) - include them, if you need to.
  • run the report, print it
  • open any text editor and try to read the result with a barcode scanner. If you read what you wrote, fine. If not, you did something wrong

Hey, man. Have you solved your problem? I want to design a signiture with QR code. But I need some barcode fonts. Some guy recommend me to use BarcodeLib Font, and other ask me to use Onbarcode Font. I do not know which one is the best choice. So could you share some experience with me?

Any that is capable of displaying barcode you are interested in, I suppose. I remember that certain free barcode fonts could have been used to display numbers but not characters. However, if you buy that font, I believe that it will manage to display anything you want. Also, pay attention to what kind of a barcode you want to use - is it a linear or a matrix (2D) barcode.
