Hi,

Is the error message ORA-02081 or ORA-02082?
If its ORA-02081 then please check the other database is up and running and the listener is up and running as well. Check if you are able to ping the server and check if you are able to connect thru normal SQL*Net.

If its ORA-02082 then it means that ur database name matches ur link name and thats not allowed. Change the name of the link and that should solve your problems.

Hope this helps.
