Hi All,

In a document from the oracle website.
"If a single-table view selects only a subset of columns in a table, only those columns are involved in the dependency".

But when i experimented, it is not true. (Plz refer the attached file).

1) Which document - post a link so we can see for ourselves.
2) Why on earth are you posting images of a sqlplus session? Copy and paste the text in code tags as you have been told on multiple occasions.

EIDT: typo

Which version of Oracle you are using please specify,
I have test the same for ORACLE 11g R2 but the status is still VALID in my case.

Kindly describe, the table from which you created your view using

Describe table_name

And please post all your all test code right from the very first step using "code tag"

Regards
Deepak

This is why we asked OP to post a link to what he read.
My opinion is that he read a 11.2 document and test in 10.2 database.
