Dear All,
How are you..?
I'm not sure, this is the rite place or not. Excuse me If m wrong.

We have installed Quote:
Forms Version 9.0.4.0.19 [32 Bit]in windows server 2008 64 bit.

Our sources are in this versionQuote:
(Forms Version 9.0.4.0.19 [32 Bit])
, and we cannot do a sudden change to latest version.

The database we installed is
Quote:

Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Prod
PL/SQL Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Production
CORE 10.2.0.1.0 Production
TNS for 32-bit Windows: Version 10.2.0.1.0 - Production
NLSRTL Version 10.2.0.1.0 - Production

We installed it in compatibility mode. Now the database is connecting properly. When we try to connect forms, it is showing the following message

Quote:
ORA-00604:error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
ORA-01009:missing mandatory parameter

Which one I have to update..? Forms or Database..?
Could you please suggest me a solution for this...

Thanks in advance

With love and Regards
Deepak

Most probably bad news.
Oracle

ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level string

Cause: An error occurred while processing a recursive SQL statement (a statement applying to internal dictionary tables).

Action: If the situation described in the next error on the stack can be corrected, do so; otherwise contact Oracle Support.

Oracle

ORA-01009: missing mandatory parameter

Cause: A host language program call did not pass all required parameters.

Action: Check the syntax for the call and enter all required parameters.

Did you check whether your Forms version is certified with operating system you use? You mentioned "compatibility mode" - compatible to what, exactly?

Dear Littlefoot,

Thanks for your valuable information... Smile

We are installing Developer suite Quote:
Version 9.0.4.0.19 [32 Bit]
in Quote:
windows server 2008 64 bit
. I have searched before whether it is possible to install and from one forum I got the following information:
Quote:
i was able to install it by setting the compatibility mode to windows server 2003 SP1 and executing the setup as administrator.
i've received 2 errors during the installation but it is possible to continue (in the first case) and retry (in the second, the second attempt went fine)

I did the same.
Now we cannot connect Forms.

Could you please tel us which version of Developer suite is certified to Windows server 2008 64 bit.

Thanks and Regards
Deepak

I too installed Forms 10g using compatablity and after which even Forms builder 6i version / sql tools were not connecting to the database. Then finally after resetting the PATH variable to point back to 6i installation home, the problem got resolved now (After 10g installation, the PATH was referring to the new home). Hope the 10g version didn't install properly. Need to work on it again.

Thanks for your support.

Right; that's how it goes when you run unsupported & not certified combination of Oracle software and operating system. There are chances to make it work, but the process is time consuming and rather painful.
