Hi
I wasn't sure where to post it as I didn't see any troubleshooting forum. Anyways...the problem is that

My harddisk went out and there are a few files in my Oracle folders

1- \ORACLE\Perl\lib\CORE\embed.h

2- \ORACLE\Perl\lib\Pod\perltoc.pod

3- \ORACLE\Perl\lib\unicode\LineBrk.txt

that are gone corrupted. anyone has an idea if they are critical for the oracle to run or not ?

Why not just reinstall Oracle? Then you will be sure that everything is correct and it will take less time than waiting for someone to give you an answer that can be:
- it hurts and then you have to reinstall
- it is likely it does not hurt and you still have to reinstall as NO ONE can give you a sure answer in this way.
