hi,

i am using the command delete obsolete to delete rman backup which expire retention policy, it will also delete archive log files.
Is there any command to delete only backups not archivelog.

Why? If you delete your backups then the associated archived logs are of no more use.
RMAN deletes all what is obsolete regarding your retention policy.
