Hi All,

I have a requirement, where in when users type a character in a LOV, it should automatically fill up the value instead of user clicking on the LOV and selecting the particular value.

Example : Say, In Adjustment Type Field, when user types a literal P, it should populate as 'Price Adjustment' without having user to drill down the LOV and select the value.

I have tried using Forms Personalization, but it didnt work out.

Please let me know how can this be achieved ?

Many Thanks..

As far as I can tell, not possible in Oracle Forms. *Maybe*, if you include Java.

Thanks for the inputs..

Is there any way to default a LOV text field to a initial value either through Form Personalizations or Custom.pll.

I did try to achieve this in Forms Personalization, by using the When New Record Instanct, but this failed.

Please let me know if this can be achieved (defaulting a value to LOV field using Forms Personalization or Custom.pll)?
