Dear Friends,
I have a doubt; can we format a particular word in oracle reports at runtime..?

Ex:-

A text filed contains data
Quote:
We request #BANK# to finance the same Bill as per agreed interest rate and other terms and conditions agreed on the above addendum and immediately remit the proceeds to our account A/c no. #ACCOUNTNO#, held with your Bank.

We need to make #BANK#, #ACCOUNTNO# are bold at runtime,

Is there any method to format characters at runtime..?

thanks
regards
Deepak

As far as I can tell, that's not possible.

True; I apologize.

Here's the feedback, then: I still don't know how you did that. I reviewed the query, all program units, but I couldn't find what piece of code makes #BANK# or #ACCOUNTNO" print bold. Could you provide some guidelines, please? What should we look at?

Thanks for your reply.
I split the whole text into 3 pieces code is in Quote:
cf_term2
. And then each pieces assigned to separate fields namely Quote:
F_5,F_6,F_7
, they are invisible and their horizontal and vertical elasticity is variable.
There are two other fields Quote:
BNK, ACC
, for Bank name and Account Number, these fields also are invisible, they are set to bold.

For displaying all these together I used the text field Quote:
B_2 : &F_6 &BNK &F_5 &ACC &F_7
.

This may not be the good way, please suggest your ideas.

Thanks
Regards
Deepak

Thank you for the explanation.

If it works and does what you wanted it to, perfect! What more would you want?
