How does that "nothing" look like?

Did you follow instructions written in the documentation AFTER you managed to install Apex (i.e. the one that describes next steps)?

I think you missed the load image step. Please go through the installation steps again and look for the portion where image loading part is handled. Look for apxldimg.sql file in the apex folder. try loading the images (sql>@apxldimg.sql or see the syntax) as stated in the installation process.

Thanks,
No, I didn't missed that part. I did this step(apxldimg.sql).
As for as the next steps, there were no more steps as i read two, three tutorials on this topic but there were none. I also searched various forums but couldn't figure it out. "Nothing" was actually the message "The Page Cannot be displayed" Smile
One thing more, I cannot find any link to the apex ( from where i can launch apex) after installation. Please I beg your pardon if my queries sounds silly as I am a begginer.
Regards,

Questions aren't silly - we are just trying to figure out what is going on. After all, only you know what you have, while we know only what you tell us.

So: where exactly did you install Apex? Is the database that contains Apex on your local computer? Is the database up and running? Can you connect to it via SQL*Plus?

As of Apex: can you login to administration services (http://localhost:8080/apex/apex_admin)?

Smile yeah you are very much right.
The Database is running my local computer. It is running and i can connect to it using SQL*PLUS. I cannot login to the apex_admin as the link displays the same result 'Page cannot be displayed'.
I read in some forum about the listener. Here is the lnsrctl status output

Go to Start - Control panel - Internet options - Security tab - Local internet - Sites button - Advanced button. Add 127.0.0.1 to the zone, and click OK.

Now try again. What happens?

P.S. Is the firewall turned on? Try to (temporarily) turn it off.

Did you try to shutdown the database, and then start it up again?

What is you Database? is it Oracle 10g Express Edition(XE) or 10g Enterprise Edition(EE) ? For XE url is http://<server-name>:8080/apex for EE http://<server-name>:7777/pls/apex. Remember for EE Installation process is lot different and difficult and you will need 10g companion cd.

Thanks alot for your time.
I have installed it on Enterprise Edition(EE). I tried the link http://127.0.0.1:7777/pls/apex but still see the same 'Page cannot be displayed Message'. Will you please provide me with link for installation of apex on EE (Windows XP). I tried my best but couldn't google one. Oracle provided documentation with apex is bit hard for me to grasp.
Regards,
