1. db_file_name_convert & log_file_name_convert parameter missing in primary database

2. In standby database you have some redo log issue, Pls look into this.

Further I recommend to check http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14239/create_ps.htm#i63561 detailed steps of data guard configuration.

Babu

db_file_name_convert & log_file_name_convert parameter missing in primary database?????Those will be required only in case of a switchover right?

The errors in log files are corrected.

whats the problem.

The error says oracle not available.
Can you tnsping standby from primary?
Also in your init.orsa file standby,you have set
db_domain='tandby'

Is it tandby or standby?

I tried to manually ship the logs to standby archive dest and register it using 'alter database register' and then the logs are applied.But the logs are not getting shipped from primary automatically wats the problem???network entries are done and tnsping works properly..wat must be done
