Dear all,
If I open a form has attached libraries in form builder on windows7 it closed and give this message :

is there anybody who can reply on this issue? I am able to open 1from but others are not opening what could be the reason any idea? Also this is not my first form...

Hello.

I am usign win7 and DS 10.1.2.0. My solution for that error is:

Before you open a form connect to the database and then open the form you want to compile.

I hope it helps you.

hi,
you are right this is the solution, for windows 7 you have to be connected to database for forms and reports before opening any fmb/rdf.

I don't believe that this is the case. I still have the problem after logging in to the database.

Has anyone else found a solution?

There's the "How to Install Oracle Developer Suite 10g (10.1.2) on Windows 7 (32-bit) [ID 1292919.1]" note on My Oracle Support (MOS) which describes what to do. Note that it is supported only for 32-bit Windows 7 (64-bit support is not planned for this Developer Suite version; 11g works on both 32 and 64-bit).

Shortly, there are 3 patches that are to be applied. As they are downloadable from MOS only, obviously - if you don't have access to the site, you won't be able to complete the task.

A workaround is to use a virtual PC under Windows XP that runs Developer Suite 10g.

Here's how I resolved this problem:

I installed Oracle 10g Dev Suite (set setup.exe configuration to service pack 3)
I applied patchset 3 (set setup.exe configuration to service pack 3)
I used OPatch to install patch 7047034

hi mmuffed,

Has your problem been resolved. I too face a similar problem. tried all those mentioned in all forums, but couldn't resolve . In my case there are around 60 forms and only two forms do not open and gives the same error as yours.

I use oracle 10g and developer suite forms and reports 9i.

any help from this forum will be appreciated

The solution is to Opatch Apply the one-off interim patch #7047034.
This is a 10.1.0.5 \rdbms\ folder patch,
Apply Patch 7047034 .
