hi all ,
i am not able to create control file from scrip . it showing follwing error please help me out

ORA-01081: cannot start already-running ORACLE - shut it down first
CHARACTER SET WE8ISO8859P1
*
ERROR at line 19:
ORA-02236: invalid file name

ok...

shut immediate

chage the character set in controlfile to UTF-8

more on character set http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10500_01/server.920/a96529/ch2.htm

Then you have done "chage the character set in controlfile to UTF-8" wrong.

If you had done it right, you wouldn't have gotten the error.
