Where would a complete idiot/newbie start in order to learn and eventually progress up to certification in/as an DBA? Would like an at home study format before progressing on towards any collegient studies.
already have "Animated Learning" oracle study disc program but it assumes I already have a fundamental understanding of the Database archetecture and programming (Scripting) abilities. Any help would be appreciated

Last time I checked www.freeskills.com was still offering free online courses. Haven't checked lately though, so I'm not sure if that's still the case.
