Hi,

Im sending mail through oracle with a pdf attachment. It is working fine for our internal corporate mail user ids. The same program was not able to send mail with attachment to other mail users(i.e gmail, yahoomail). But the other mail users are receiving the mails without attachment.

Details

Database : Oracle 9i
Mail Server : Lotus Notes 7

  • Attachment: SENDMAIL.txt
    (Size: 9.05KB, Downloaded 242 times)

Sounds like an issue with your mail server and/or fire walls.

Hi

Im able to send the mail directly i.e login to lotus mail and attaching the document and by clicking send button. No issue in this... I think there is no problem with firewall/mail server.

If it works for internal mail and not external then I can't really see the problem as being forms. It sends a mail to the mail server, the mail server forwards it on the correct recipient.
Forms has no concept of internal/external mail addresses, it can't tell the difference. So if it's adding the attachment for one type it will be doing so for the other as well.
In which case the problem has to be external to forms - mail server or firewall.
