Dear Friends

We are planning to buy Oracle 11g database server. Right now we are using Oracle 9i on Linux OS RHEL 2.1 AS, my question is whether we can install Oracle 11g on Linux OS RHEL 2.1 AS.
If not, then which version of Red Hat Linux is most appropriate for Oracle 11g R2 Database.

As far as I can tell (based on Certification matrices on My Oracle Support), 11gR2 is certified with the following Red Hat Linux versions:
- Red Hat Enterprise 4 / Oracle VM
- Red Hat Enterprise 5 / Oracle VM

For further information, check the Matrices yourself.
