Can any one give the simple definition for the correlated sub query. with out example because like this only they asked me in interview.

I think the simplest one would be the following:
correlated subquery is a subquery which is executed for every row of the main query.

first u have to know the parent query and child query.the child query joins with parent query tables and executes the the subquery and after that executes the parent one.

Correlated means that the children are related to the parents via a genetic link. If there are more than two parents, it becomes a polygamous correlated sub-query. Execution of parents is parricide.
