Hello all

i have a problem in the tree node. i was upgrading the application from forms9i to forms10g. but after the upgrade the tree node does not work as before.

every time i try to expand the tree using the keyboard ( the enter key ) i need to press the (tab key) after the enter key to expand the tree .
also when i try to open any form from the tree by pressing the (enter key) i need to press the (tab key) after the enter key.

the strange that the same code works well in forms9i.

* now I'm using local machine forms 10g release 2 on windows xp.
and the server :- win2003 server and application server 10g.

but when i use the mouse (double click) it works well.

It seems that <Enter> doesn't do its job. We've had almost the same discussion a few days ago. I'd say that it is not that you have to press <Tab> after <Enter>, but instead of it. Unfortunately, no solution so far.

so isn't there any trigger to change the function of enter key to be (enter + tab ).
i think if i changed the enter key in tree level it may work but i don't know the code should be assigned.

As I asked another poster in http://www.orafaq.com/forum/m/437844/67467/?srch=enter+tab#msg_437844 which version of Forms 10g are you running?

hello
the currently version is Forms [32 Bit] Version 10.1.2.0.2 (Production)

and the old version i was using (before the upgrade)is Forms [32 Bit] Version 9.0.2.9.0 (Production)

* note There is multiple tree in my application and all of them is working well except the main tree. only the main tree have this problem.

* the tree is based on more than level. first select statement create the main tree. then the other select statement build the child tree for every node. i know it may be a hard code but i can't modify it.

There is a patch 10.1.2.2.0 which came out 27-Oct-06 and another 10.1.2.3.0 which came out on 07-Mar-08 for Forms running on MS Windows.

I can only suggest downloading and installing his later version to see if that helps solve your problem.
