Dear Expert,

can you tell me How to see which database is currently taken backup in RMAN prompt.

suppose in my oracle server more than 20 database is there, so how could i see which database is currently taken backup in rman prompt?

I guess in RMAN prompt you can not see. If you want check from operating system or your backup logs or RMAN background process.

"In" RMAN prompt or "from" RMAN prompt?
However you are connecting (interactive or script/log), you should see something like this

connected to target database: xxx (DBID=nnnnnnnn)

That's why it's helpful to generate a log of the RMAN session and label the backup files appropriately. Therefore, you could use something like lsof and/or strace to see what files a process has open and is writing to.

I would not check with rman.

I would create a script which runs through all your db's in oratab and check per database.

Or maybe oracle grid control can show you in one view.
(I never used it, so I might be totally wrong)
