Dear All:

We are playing with Toad 9.7 and seems like the right tools for Trade. The schema browser on left hand side I am keeping on MultiTab type. The one problem is that when I select Table or Constraint from there, the tabs rearrange and is quite annoying to find another tab say View again since it has changed its location.

Is there any way to keep the TABS fixed to their location so when you select no changing of their position occur.

Thanks.

From my point of view:

  • Tabbed browser style is the worst. There are just too many tabs, and they aren't sorted by anything (as you've noticed)
  • Treeview? I don't like it much
  • Drop-down is the most flexible; I prefer this style

Thank you very much for your expert opinion. It is the direction you suggested I found now the best way to engage Toad schema browser.

You Take care.

I prefer mutli-tab because I find it quicker, especially once I've disabled unwanted tabs (right-click > configure).
