I am trying to install Oracle9i Enterprise Edition but the system is giving the following error

Error in writing to file D:\oracle\ora92\jlib\oemlt-9_2_0.jar

I have attached the error image file for review..

Kindly Help..

The possible solutions as per your message..
1)Check you log located at your image
2)Click on retry
3)Clean your media and try again.

Check permissions on drive/directory
Check free space on drive

I am logged in as administrator and there is enough free space on the drive (atleast 50 GB Free).

I have found the log file, at the end of the file it is written


Exception handling set to prompt user with options to RETRY IGNORE
User choice : User selected stop installation of all components
Error in writing to file D:\oracle\ora92\jlib\oemlt-9_2_0.jar
Unable to read the list of homes from the inventory.

That message suggests that the installer is having a problem finding/reading its inventory of installed products. I have seen this after a failed/incomplete deinstallation, perhaps because someone deleted the inventory manually but didn't remove the registry entries that point towards it. You could check whether Oracle software has ever been installed on this machine, particularly whether there are registry entries left behind: hkey_local_machine/software/oracle might be the place to start.
