Hi All,

I would like to know,is there any way to specify the client side Ports manually when we start a client tool like SQL*Plus to connect to the listener.
Do we have any range of Client side ports which can be used for communicating to the listener?

Thanks & Best Regards,
Kiran Sathyan.

NO
The client has NO control over the port(s) used by listener.

This isn't a straightforward answer. See Metalink note 361284.1
( your connection could get re-directed to a different port after you initially establish a connection)
