Hi All,

While we are creating a materialized view we are getting the following error.

ORA-12018: following error encountered during code generation for "AP01MV01"."PPM_Polices_MV"

ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: qkebCreateConstantOpn1], [, ], [, ], [, ], [, ], [, ], [

We are using the below code to create the materialized view. POLICES is a table name in our Database.

CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW

PPM_POLICES_MV

REFRESH FAST

START WITH to_date('19-Nov-2009 06:00:00','dd-Mon-yyyy HH24:MI:SS')

NEXT SYSDATE+1

WITH ROWID

AS SELECT * FROM POLICES@PPM_DB_LINK;

Can you please help us to resolve the issue and create the materialized views?

Thanks in advance

Most people will tell you that any ORA sixhundred error = oracle support. I say it too.

With it said I would also note that most ora-600 errors that I have encountered had workarounds I could find. It usually involved code rewrites of one form or another.

In your case I see three things to investigate:

1) AS SELECT * FROM POLICES@PPM_DB_LINK;

What is with ?

2) you are build a materialized view from some remote database. Try making a copy of the table locally and creating the mview that way. This will tell you if there is some network issue involved.

3) read the documentation on mviews, then make sure your individual components are in the right order. Believe it or not, some of the expressions must come in a specific order of the mview statement will fail. For example, does WITH ROWID come before or after START WITH. Same question for all of the combinations.

Good luck, Kevin
