Hi,

We have a file having thousands of records in it and I have to copy every 500 records in seperate Output files like
Filename_1,Filename_2,Filename_3,......

Can any one Please help me to write Unix code .

Hi ,

I tried but am getting random files like
filename_AA,Filename_AB,Filename_AC,.....
like this am getting.

but My requirement is

filename_1,filename_2,filename_3,.....

is it possible with SPLIT command.Please let me know the
way if possible.
