Dear,
I am new to oracle, and I was going through most of the websites, where I cannot get the detailed answer to my question. I want to size the Temporary tablespace for my development database. Each time for different querries, the temp tablespace was not enough, and we are increasing time to time.
Can any one help, how to estimate the size for the temp tablespace for the business neeeds. The application uses the sorting more often for 90% of the reports.
Now the total size for the temporary tablespace is 23gb.
You reference to the correct link will be apprecitable.
Thanks

No Oracle version was provided. Commenting on this topic would be pure guesswork.
Depending Oracle version, there are certain options you can look into.
It also depends on you created the tablespaces.
Search this forum. This topic is discussed many times.

You are asking, "How big is big enough?".
We don't have your tables.
We don't have your data.
We don't have your application.
TEMP needs to be big enough so it can handle what you need done.
Increase its size until it stops asking for more.
