Hi,

We are planning to migrate from ORacle 8i to 10G.
We have a lot of Pro*C code in our application.
We want to compile all the proc code in Oracle 10g and test it.
When we installed oracle 10g, we are not able to locate the file $ORACLE_HOME/precomp/demo/proc/demo_proc.mk file.
In fact the whole demo fodler is not present.

Any help is highly appreciated.

You didn't check the appropriate options.
Launch the installer and check them.
In 10g, I think it is in Companion CD but maybe it is still in Client one.

Hi,

In the Oracle Universal Installer i checked the Oracle Programmer option and re-installed it.
However, i could not find the demo folder and demo_proc.mk file.
Anything missing her please let me know.

Also in the companion CD, i am not able to find the option.
Could you please elaborate on the option i need to choose.

Hi,

I selected all the options in the companion CD and installed it.
I could not see the demo folder inside precomp folder.
The following folders were created inside the demo folder.
1. lib
2. lib32
3. mesg
4. admin

Please let me know how can i get the demo folder and demo_proc.mk file.

And which option did you check on client CD?
Which Edition have you?
