Hi all,


i am oracle dba, so can anyone tell me that any command or query to know the free and used space in a paticular table.quick response will higly appreciate.

It depends on the precision you want for this information that is what you mean by "free space".

Have a look at DBMS_SPACE.SPACE_USAGE and DBMS_SPACE.UNUSED_SPACE procedures.

Or you could gather Stats for the table, and look at the Blocks column in DBA_TABLES for the used space
you could compare that with SUM(BLOCKS) from DBA_EXTENTS for that table for the total space.
