Hi

How do i calculate the total size of a level 0 backup taken by RMAN.Is there a view which gives such info or do i have to check size on DISK from the actual size of pieces.

RMAN>List backup of backupset 


there, you'll get information about backup file

Well thanks

I was looking moe like a view from where i can calculate the size.As far as doing a List backup from RMAN prompt will give a list of lots pieces and sets,have to calculate manually .

Check V$BACKUP_PIECE or V$BACKUP_PIECE_DETAILS.

rman>list backup of database;
