Hi,

We need to create a duplicate database in server A using RMAN Backup of another database located in server B.

I have moved the RMAN Backup of db located in server B to server A.

Can anyone pls provide the steps to be performed to duplicate a database in server A using only the backup of server B db.

Source db in server A - Oracle 9i - Sun Solaris 5.9
Source db in server B - oracle 10g - sun solaris 5.10

Thanks

Prashanth

If I understand your posting correctly,
You are trying to duplicate from 10g to 9i.
A regular duplicate will not help with this.

Mahesh is right. You cann't copy 9i database at 10g side

Either upgrade 9i database to 10g and use the link I've posted to duplicate the database to 10g side
