Hi
we have got the error unable to extent the datafile due to shortage storage..to resolve the problem we have done the following step:

1. move the one data file size 27gb to another location
2. changed the control file according to new location
3. trying to open the database using alter database open.its through the error... recover needed for datfile pin19.dbf
4. after that we have execute the command like recover datafile pin19.dbf
then its through the error like "ORA-00280: change 545701132 for thread 1 is in sequence #65143

so we are not able to open the database as of now.. one more thing is: our database is "no archive log mode".

if someone can help regarding this issue then it would be highly appreciable

ORA-00280: change %s for thread %s is in sequence #%s
*Cause: This message helps to locate the redo log file with the
specified change number requested by other messages.
*Action: Use the information provided in this message to specify the
required archived redo log files for other errors.

You didn't say if you shut down or not the database before moving or during move and what kind of shutdown.
(Anyway, you did it wrong, there is no need to recreate the control file when you move a datafile.)

Regards
Michel
