Open Forms Online Help System and read more about CALL_FORM, NEW_FORM and OPEN_FORM built-ins.

I have the good knowledge on all the three functions. I actually wanted to disable the calling form when open form function is used.

NEW_FORM will terminate the calling form. OPEN_ and CALL_FORM won't.

i have a situation where i am using a call form so that the both the forms are open and user is not allowed to go back. this causing a problem, the fields in the called form are scrambled, as both the forms are heavy. i cannot use new form as the calling form will get closed. and open form will allow to navigate to the previous form and allow to modify. i want a solution for this issue. please help me.

If user is not allowed to navigate to a parent form, why do you insist on keeping it open?

in the application both the forms are available to be operated saperately of one is being called from other. when we are using call form we want to keep the data of calling form as it is for the user to see.

Use the 'find_form' command to see if a form is currently open.
