You need to set your DISPLAY.

If on server:
use another terminal... and su - root and then use "xhost +" or "xhost +localhost"

$ su - root

# xhost +

and then "dbua" again


If you remote:
you should set DISPLAY to your client...

if you use ssh use....

$ ssh -X oracle@database-server

on server
$ dbua

[oracle@localhost ~]$ dbca
-bash: dbca: command not found

still cant work it out 


Connect "Oracle" user in your Operating system & post output of
" env | grep ORACLE" command
