I had a 2-node RAC cluster
node2 crashed, rebuilt with just the Windows OS - no Oracle yet.
Now I try to clone CRS from node1 and I get a message saying that node2-vip hostname already in use. Sure enought when I do a ipconfig /all on node1 it shows node1, node1-priv, node1-vip and node2-vip is there too! I have followed all the steps in the manual to remove any reference to the dead node2, so I'm thinking this is where Oracle clone software is seeing node2-vip. Also I can ping node2-vip from node1, and supposedly this should not be available until after Oracle clusterware has gotten hold of it.
