I am not able to connect to oracle 10g from forms6i and SQL Plus 8.0. When I try to connect it gives the following message

ORA:12545
connect failed because target host or object does not exists.

Please let me know How do I solve it. There is no any network problem and I am able to ping the server.

V8.0 s/w can not talk to V10 DB
