Hi All,

We have our Architecture such that DB resides on the IBM Server and there is no Admin tier there and the application tier resides on the linux Server.

I am running a script with the following code:

a) CREATE a DIRECTORY DIR_NAME with absolute path that resides on the Application tier.

b) READ the directory using BFILENAME(DIR_NAME, file_name) for the file file_name. But I am getting the following error:

ORA-22288: file or LOB operation FILEOPEN failed No such file or directory

I suspect this is because the directory is on DB machine but the actual OS file system path is on another machine. How can we avoid this issue?

Regards & Thanks
