Hello All,

While running a script i got following error.
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [srsexpreset], [56], [], [], [], [], [], []

Even after hours in google, i could not even geuss what was the probale cause of that error.
I would appreciate if anyone would suggest the possible cause of this error.
There is no problem with script. It was the script that had worked earlier.

Thank You

ORA-00600/ORA-07445/ORA-03113 = Oracle bug => search on Metalink and/or call Oracle support

Michel

I have provided the error code. I just wanted to know what could cause that error to occur. The statement is a merge statement and the volume of data is large(13 million records).

600 error is a generic error. You have to search logs and error stacks for more detail. In the end as was suggested when you get a 600 error you should contact oracle support.

That said, 9 times out of 10 when I get one of these, it is because I am using an advanced database feature. Often times you can isolate the exact piece of code that is generating the error. From there you need to try various alternatives to the code till you find on the works without the error. Its that or you wait weeks for a patch, if there is one.

Good luck, Kevin

There's nothing in Metalink about it that I can find.

Either call Oracle Support, or rewrite your query
