Hi, we are on Oracle 10.2.0.4, Data Guard + RMAN. We have been manually deleting archive logs from primary and standy via the following after we back those up:

delete noprompt archivelog until time 'sysdate - 7';

Over the weekend the file system got to 100% on standy, so we deleted some backups that already went to tape on standby, which cleared up the space. However, when trying to 'startup mount' on standby, we have observed the following (on standy):

ORA-00314: log 4 of thread 1, expected sequence# 4635 doesn't match 4633
ORA-00312: online log 4 thread 1: '/data/dbf/TEST/stdby04.log'

There seems to be only this one sequence that is not matching. I am not sure how to resovle this error. I am not sure if it is caused becasue archive logs do not match on primary and standy or because standy went to 100% in tems of disk space and something did not synch correctly . Any ideas? Thank you!

00314, 00000, "log %s of thread %s, expected sequence# %s doesn't match %s"
// *Cause: The online log is corrupted or is an old version.
// *Action: Find and install correct version of log or reset logs.
