Hi,
I have many more custom configurations in formsweb.cfg.
like [abc], [aaa],[ewrw] that would be open config=abc etc.

I want to save report server name eg. "rep_server" and report server path eg "http://server:port/report/rwserver" in some file/variable on server which is accessible from forms/reports. because when developer write code they should use predefined setings and not define all these setting in their calling report mechanism.

I'd put it in the database and then call it from the forms.

Then you could change it anytime you want without having to change the code in the forms.

But if i want to use some configuration on App server side and not on DB server side. Then is it possible. If yes then how to

Hi I have got the solution but only for report server name. We can define report server name in key map file i.e. cgicmd.dat.

But address "http://host:port/report/rwservlet?" is still left.
Please tell me how to define variables for report server.

Yes I got the solution.
define variable in default.env like rep_server=rep_hst report_path=/myapp/payroll/forms

and in developer user
TOOL_ENV.GETPARAM('rep_server',:rep_srv);

I hope it will be helpfull forother developers too.

By using TOOL_ENV function which is avaliable in (Developer 9i) we can get values of any variable from environment file.
