Dear Members

I want to play sound on specific event in forms like in fox pro that uses the internal system sound. I use the bell procedure but it did not play sound. I think it used external sound card.
Please tell me how i can use the internal sound of system.

I will be very thankfull to you.

Thanks and Regards.

As far as I can tell, BELL built-in does ring a bell.

External sound card? I don't think so. BELL, for example, worked fine on VT terminals and they certainly don't have any "external sound card".

Is "mute" set on? Should volume be adjusted? Are headphones plugged in?

Thanks for your reply.
i have done as you say but no sound is produced.
i think i can not clearly define my question. Internal System Sound mean that sound of small speaker in system. Like in old system foxpro uses internal system speaker for events.

Right; that's exactly what I have on my mind. BELL works fine in my forms. Can you create a small dummy form? Put BELL into WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE trigger. It *should* produce sound when form is started.

I have no idea either, but just to make sure that the internal speaker is not disabled, you can open up a command prompt and type CTRL+G [Enter]

If that doesn't produce a beep either it's an OS problem, if that does beep it's more likely to be a Forms problem.

Do you have the Forms Runtime option 'Quiet' set to 'YES'?
